Meet our Spotlight Employee… Timiko!!

Timiko has been part of the An Answered Prayer family for 1 year and 7 months, and in that time, she has made such a beautiful impact. Born and raised in Duquesne, where she still lives today, Timiko is a proud mom of five amazing adult children Damere, Rahde, Jirell, Tamiya, and Danira and a loving grandma to one sweet grandbaby. She’s a seafood lover, enjoys Old School R&B, and her favorite movie is Ruth and Boaz. When she’s not working, you can find her enjoying family fun nights, playing bingo, or challenging someone to puzzles, word searches, Monopoly, or Operation.

What Timiko loves most about caregiving is building meaningful, lasting connections and seeing the smile on a client’s face. To her, caregiving is about dignity, companionship, patience, and true dedication. One of her favorite memories is the special conversations she shared with a client especially the wisdom and recipes that were passed down. Those are the moments that turn a job into a calling. Her advice to new caregivers is simple but powerful: prioritize self-care, build a support system, and truly learn your client’s needs so you can give your best without burning out.
